The Cognitive Gamer examines how psychology intersects with playing games. All aspects of psychology will be considered, centered on cognitive psychology, but also touching on other areas such as social, developmental, biopsychology and others. And, all types of games will be discussed, from board games to video games, to games of chance.

Steve Blessing received his PhD in cognitive psychology from Carnegie Mellon University. A professor at the University of Tampa, Steve loves to instruct and mentor students in the ways of cognitive psychology. From the beginning of his career, Steve investigated how psychology could be applied to everyday life, particularly within educational domains. The Cognitive Gamer is a space where he can examine how psychological concepts fit into how people play and enjoy games.
